Restored/Modified Chassis Details - Bruce White

The chassis has been modified as shown above. The original brake cross tube assembly has been removed (not needed for the hydraulic system being used on this project) and two stronger rectangular section tubes fitted between the front and rear cross rails. This will help prevent the front cross member from being pushed back slightly (as seen on a number of sevens) due to the forces from the radius arm ball. On this chassis the front cross member was pushed back 1.5cm. The front sports style axle is made by reshaping a standard Ruby axle. The rear bodied supports, fitted on the later 6' 9" chassis, have been cut-off to suit the Meteor body.
