The Austin Big Seven produced in 1937
The Big Seven was first produced in July 1937. The first model known as the Six-light (or CRV Six-light) featured a larger body built on a 7 foot 3 ½ inch wheelbase and was powered by a new 900 c.c. four cylinder engine. This engine developed 25 b.h.p. at 4,000 r.p.m. The Big Seven sold for just under £ 150. The Forlite (or CRW Forlite) model of the Big Seven was added to the model range in January 1938.
