The Swallow bodied Austin Seven
The Swallow bodied Austin Seven
The Swallow Sidecar and Coachbuilding Company produced the first Swallow bodied Austin in 1926, by May 1927 the two seater car had become very popular in Britain. This success was mainly due to the styling appeal of the Swallow as well as attention to detail, both of which were missing in the average factory produced car of the day. A four seater version of the Swallow soon followed. The factory at this time was purchasing Austin Seven rolling chassis in lots of 50 to keep up with demand.
