Hello,

Today we have been working on the Austin seven, but it still won't run properly.

Since the last time I posted a question on this problem we tried all sorts of things. Today we took the engine apart to get a closer look at the timing of the camshaft. The dot in the crankshaftwheel is between the two "o's" in the camshaftwheel. The camshaftwheel also has the marks " +1 " punched in it, what does this say?? This " +1 " also is punched in the aluminium engine block, were the dynamo is bolted on it.

The camshaftwheel has 30 teeth, the crankshaftwheel has 15.

While working on the engine I dicovered a punched number in the front of the cilinderblock, right beside the freezing plug. The number is 144019. What does this mean??

I hope someone can help me to find out something about the camshaft.

Thank you !!
