John I recently found a 36 Ruby which had been standing in a garage since 1965. The petrol had of course evaporated and the tank contained a layer of fluffy rust. I remover the tank and had it acid dipped and neutralized by a paint removal outfit. I then paint the tank interior using a proprietary system called "American Tank Sealer" manufactured by "Permanent Painted Coatings". PPC also make POR15 black chassis paint My tank now has a glass hard interior coating. The only trouble I had with the removal and replacement of the tank was the refitting of the rubber cuff joining the tank to the external filler.
