I have a 1930 saloon which is in the process of being restored, from the colour guide on these pages i see that chummies were painted dove grey, i assume saloons were painted this colour also, is this correct? In a book i have at home there is a short scuttle (steel) saloon like my own pictured ,i intend to paint my car in a similar style, it seems to be a light colour (dove grey?), and has a single line around the waistband, What colour would this be?. Also it shows only the wings and running boards only as being black, above the waistline is body colour, was this a common feature?, i have always presumed that above the waistline sevens were always black, If the top is not black what about the dash, should this be body colour?
