Richard "IF" the chassis number "IS" the original number,it is a long chassis car- if you have a body with cutouts in the doors the chassis must have been shortened,check to see if the plate that boxes in the chassis ends (where the springs slide in)is bolted or riveted on to the chassis rails- if bolted it is most likely to have been shortened ,if riveted and looks original the chassis number cannot be original to the chassis. At the time no.146348 was built engine numbers would have been 5/600 in front of the chassis number.have a close look for more numbers also have a close look at the original log book if you have one regards Ian Moorcraft
