Austin Seven Specials was recently 'remaindered', or sold at half price in the UK, which probably means it will be out of print again soon. The most recent edition had a coloured dust jacket with lots of cars on it and an addendum by 750 MC, written in the light of experience. The second, if the John Platts one, will have to be obtained by beg, stealing or borrowing. Unfortunately, the book was printed with all the prices in it, which made it instantly out of date. I have been told it brought about the downfall of the servicing centre too. Whether or not this is right is somewhat speculative and I stand corrected if untrue. In any event it is a absolutely brilliant book, with specially commissioned drawings and worthy of a factory manual - I know, because I have a copy. The other, expensive, option is the also excellent Mercury Austin Seven Manual at about £40, I have one and can recommend it too.
