It's a lucky thing that you were able to fit in your axle in one piece. From UK to NZ I had no problem but from NZ to Australia the damage was unbelievable - even a Stanley knife shattered inside a steel toolbox. When moving country to country I would recommend leaving parts assembled to minimise damage to the more suseptable innards.
