As mentioned Al supplies number of satisfactory heads - the original head, stamped 9E as fitted to the Ulster and Nippy, was roughly the same combustion shape as the Ruby head, but with 19mm plugs rather than 14mm. Generally unavailable as anyone with a 9E head knows what it is. When I was young and A7 owners were poor in the 60's fitting a Ruby head was a cheap and effective solution - these days the VSCC is a rich mans club so they rule a '37 head not allowed if you wish to be 'vintage'.
