Bruce, Both my cars without fans will overheat in traffic after a very short stop - say 2 to 3 minutes on a hot (for us) , 25C day. The Ulster with the pump will actually run quite hot event at higher speeds and going to Beaulieu last year got me quite worried - bear in mind it has to shift a lot of heat as it is supercharged. The 1936 tourer, with a fan, but no pump of course, will boil after about 5 minutes when stationary. I believe this is because the older rads have limited cooling efficiency compared to modern ones. Both the other cars have new rads. Dues this help or complicate matters?
