I agree with Barry about the 95% not crack detecting their steering arms, indeed though I have tested my spares I have not tested the ones fitted to my Chummy or my Fabric Saloon, so am also guilty of the "Head in the sand" syndrome. For the record about 3/4 of the ones cracked were cracked inside the bend, this appeared to be small enough to be able to clean up with a small file, but I would only do this as a last resort. The others were cracked on the machined pin which goes though the swivel hub, just around the radius as it goes into the arm itself, all that were cracked here had a rough machined finish, a series of lines instead of a smooth curve, the crack being in the bottom of the lines. It would be worth cleaning them up to a smooth finish before fitting them to the car.Bit of a rough job at the "Austin" !!!!!! regards Ian
