Yes, I have a suggestion, why bother with a replacement? The standard dynamo is perfectly adequate unless you are in the habit of driving all night on pitch-black roads. You should get it rewound/overhauled, set it to charge at about 5 amps and it should last for years. Yes, you will get a discharge from the battery when the headlights (!) are on, but a decent battery should be able to supply that sort of juice for hours. If you are driving night after night, just put a battery charger on during the day. Keep it simple!
