I have a cam that was aquired years ago that is a 15/55 grind, it is more flexible than the 20/60 but was modified the same way by grinding the lobe base and reprofiling it. That technique does not allow for any improvement in valve opening or closing rates if you are clever enough to optimise these. For a road car it is hard to beat a standard grind and putting the effort into making the engine breathe easier. I knew some one years ago that increased the lift of a standard cam 1/32 of an inch by hand working it and paid a lot of attention to improving the gas flow and that engine screamed.
