I was going to say "paint with a liberal amount of oil", but was waiting for the more "learned" gentlemen to comment!
Learned or not they have the same answer I have. I thought maybe, just maybe someone may have said something technical like a thin sheet of fibre or suchlike.
Oh well back to the bigger questions of life, again!
