Andy. Mine is a 1936 AAL, AAL1125 actually, chassis 246294, engine 247028 - all original. One of the very last 2 bearings which has the spigot for the cam bearing on the side of the crankcase, but not machined. I too wondered about the bumpers, especially as mine had them fitted front and rear (they were Austin 10 ones). I found that the later models, 36/37 on had them, mine had very roughly cut rear holes in the skirt and this was the real clue that it was not a factory job. I also spent a lot of money getting copies of Gaydon brochure records to look for bumpers. The top catches are vital for both safety - they lock the door shut and for holding the body together, front to rear. I remember turning a corner and saying to astonished bystanders "It happens all the time", as the door swung open! The Chummy ones are smaller and I had to get blanks fromm the Seven Workshop and file them to size. The body had dropped so far at the back that I had to cut the new ones in half and braze them to the remains of the originals. I can provide a picture if you want. Other suppliers may do them, in fact a friend of mine bought some this week, finished, for his Chummy. He also got done for speeding, coming to see me today!
