I would like to make my '34 Ruby into a semi-daily driver. The big obstacle to this that starting the engine at temperatures below 0 C requires a battery charger, a heat tape wound around the carburator, a squirt of ether down cylinders 1 and 4, and a bit of luck. I have an 80,000v/6v Bosch blue coil in my spares pile, but I am not sure the original electronics are up for this. Is there anything I could do to improve my fair-weather friend? -20 C if not altogether unusual in this part of the world. Thanx.
