Hi - if it's purely a colour to stand out in traffic, it may help to know that the Colour Research Institute in USA found many years ago that the eye is more receptive to and notices more quickly - yellow. Thus most road signs are yellow with black message. The next best colour reception was red with white symbols etc, consequently some road signs including STOP are these colours in most countries. Orange certainly stands out and as many of the Works TT Ulsters ran orange you could say it's "standard". If you're not aware, the sales brochure for the "Sports Model" (factory never called them Ulsters) says standard colours were Cream body, green wings, black upholstery, hood and wheels or Black body, hood and wheels, red wings and upholstery or Red body, black wings, hood, uphol., wheels. BUT it also says "Any reasonable colours to order without extra charge". Open licence? Hope to have been of help. Bill
