Yes we had fires to the left of us, fires to the right and the chummy stuck in the middle! Flames got to within 50m of us - we stayed back to fight and saved a few. Houses were lost 200m away - pretty scary stuff, and the NOISE! (like an airport).
I have part of a hood bow assembly and 1/2 of a top of screen catch (which I have copied), but not the internals (there is a good pix in Purves for an idea of what might be inside).
