One point to remember when setting up a 22FZ Carb. (or any carb. for that matter) is to check that the vacuum pipe to the wipers(if fitted) is in good condition. If air leaks exist in this pipe, you will never get the thing to run right. Perhaps the best course of action when setting up a carb. from scratch is to disconnect the pipe and block the connecting pipe on the inlet manifold. Poor pick up and stalling can often be traced to a leak somewhere within the wiper pipe.
