A question comes up from time to time about SU's on A7 engines. I use and believe I am correct in the asumption, that the 1 1/8 SU is right for the the A7.
I certainly do use this size on our sevens, they tend to be a great addition. BUT, occassionally one comes across the odd A7 with an 1 1/4 SU.
I find that with the passing comment to the owner about maybe the SU is too big, I always find the same response, "course it's ok".
How 'bout some responses on this complex question. I realize alot is to do with the jetting etc.
I use the 1 1/4 on the Big7, but this is a different story all together, as I use it for regularity racing, peaking the tacho at 6500, at 85 mph. It probably needs a bit more juice!
Some ideas please.
