I currently have a 1 1/8th down draught SU on my Ulster and have set it up with a M6 needle using a yellow spring. This tends to make it rich but, it's producing about 70 mph at about 4900 rpm. I would suggest that you work out what performance you want from your car and then using a SU needle chart book pick the needle which best suits the car. I also have a Ruby which has a semi down draught 1 1/4th this has a blue spring but sorry the needle I can't remember. Hope this is of some use.
