Listers,
A couple of questions for the experts please:
First - I'm building a spare engine for my Nippy and have the probably rash idea that I could re-create the correct pressurised version by fitting a Phoenix crank to a normal crankcase. Has anyone done this? What is entailed in getting the oil supply to the crankshaft nose?
Secondly, with the very late model (rod operated) back axle, how does the fore/aft balancing issue work? This seems to a topic of major concern and much experimentation but in the late model (which I'm trying to emulate), so far as I can see once the back brakes come on hard, that's it. No way of continuing to increase pull at the front.
Bruce, if a confirmed list lurker can offer an opinion, please don't chop this brilliant facility. For me, it's the first of my daily checks. I really thought there was some sort of big problem when the flow of inputs suddenly dried up.
