I did it several years ago with the 3M "Scotchcal" method. This is a professional label-making process which uses artwork such as Bruce provided and I drew differently for myself. The process involves photographic techniques and high-power (read dangerous) uv exposure of the material before it is developed out in a similar way to a conventional photograph. Scotchcal material was in several forms and I used the black on aluminium type which was then stuck to the original dials. This would be ideal for Ruby gauges.
