Barry My rods are indeed white metal, I don't know how you would handle shells. However, compared to a modern engine A7 big ends are very wide for their dia., perhaps we could decrease the width, perhaps use spacers? I understand that the purpose of belling is to reduce the effective width, let more oil through and thus increase the cooling effect of the lubricant regards Ron
