To give my Ulster a rest from sprints + hillclimbs for a season and as an alternative to the many replica Ulsters competing I have bought an unused Tom Abernathy bodied G-E Brooklands replica c/w 1926 mag engine converted to pressure fed, close ratio box etc., for use in 2002 . The car is much lighter than the Ulster with some tweaking might make a competitive VSCC car. Question - does anyone have info on these cars as originals - obviously do to the wood frame / aluminium body most will have disintegrated . Also the whereabouts of Tom Abernathey who built numerous similar bodies as well asw G-E Cup Model replicas .
