Hi Martin,

Great to hear from You.....

Can’t help much with details of the Burghley Sports (1924?) apart from the steering box is at 37.5 deg! But have you considered an Australian Meteor replica? I know people either love or hate the design but it does form the bases of a love project special, especially now that a number of club members are currently making fibreglass bodied versions in Victoria and South Australia. The body shell, guards and nose piece cost around $1,200 Australian dollars all up, which makes a fairly inexpensive project car. The down side is you will never get a CAMS log book (don’t know the kiwi equivalent to CAMS?) so you can’t race in any Historic classes in this country. The mould belongs to the Victorian Austin Seven Club so Courtenay Rumble might be able to help if you want more details.

Regards,

Bruce
