Hello, Last summer I bought a shinny new petrol tap for my chummy, it was no effort to sit in the sun for three hours with a tin of "Brasso" and a bottle of "Stella Artois" and lap the tap to a petrol tight fit (with the "Brasso" not the "Stella" !!!!!), I made such a good job of it that now without the benefit of the lubricating effect of any lead in the petrol, I find that it is impossible to turn the tap without pulling it out a little against the spring, which of course allows a little petrol to leak out until I push it back in, This may be a silly question, Is there such a thing as petrol proof grease? I thought that silicone grease may be a possibility but have not used it yet, any suggestions on how to free off the tap without it leaking would be gratefully received. (I have also noticed that the carb jets show the absence of lubrication when I unscrew them!) Regards Ian
