Why is it that all articles both old and new that I have ever read on setting the Magneto contacts tell you various settings between 12 to 18 thou.? The handbooks say "Check this with the gauge fitted to the magneto spanner supplied with each magneto" All of the magneto spanner sets I have (all old) have a blade of 10 thou. (one of them is a "Lucas") I run on an M.L. RF4 adjusted to 12/14 thou. Over to you--- Regards Ian
