I forgot to say. Oil pressure, even with a perfect pump, can be as low as nothing to 2 psi at tickover and about 7 when being belted in a 2-bearing engine, When cold, with new oil, it can be as high as 20-25 psi, but must come back on the (10psi) scale as soon as it's warm, otherwise check the oil jets. I've never known them to block as suggested by history - has Bill?
