Doug,
in case you do no pick up on the earlier post:
My car too was owned by Geoff Clamp and exported in the same crate to Australia. I brought it back to the UK in 1998.
I believe your car was green; mine was in kit form I think. I have a nice b/w photo of all the bits laid out.
GH 1989 was sold to Geoff in about the mid Sixties, by Ray Broad, see: http://freespace.virgin.net/john.lovelock4/Reunited!.htm
Ray's photos show mine to be bodily in a fairly sorry state even in 1963. When Ray sold it to Geoff it had a standard engine and he had never got a sniff of a genuine Ulster one, but he reckons Geoff had several in his garage, s/c and otherwise. One of the latter ended up in my car. Not sure when your car came on the scene.
I have some details of your Car's history, including copies of race programmes and also VSCC scrutineer's tickets which came with my car, which subsequently I found to be for your's.
Geoff told me he was quite famous for a day, as his picture appeared in the National press, taking out, I think it was, something like Autosport's banner at a race meeting!
When I last spoke to Geoff, he had a Gordon England cup and offered me a couple of wheels FOC, but unfortunately, I couldn't get to see him.
Barry.
