Hello, I have been having a spares sort out today, I have what appear to be two C35A dynamos, one is marked 10/33 the other has no date, It looks the same in every way except it has no date but is marked 12 Volt!!!, it has what looks like an engine number 220298, which would make it mid 35 the only other numbers are GM35 and BN86 the other strange thing is that the field coil screw's on the body are very large cross heads just like the 1960s Lucas dynamos, I have never heard of a Lucas exchange 12 volt dynamo for an Austin Seven, I don’t know very much about the very late 7s and Big Sevens, so don't know if any had a 12 volt system, if this isn't unusual why do people convert VW dynamos to get a 12volt system, incidentally I have had this dynamo for at least 20 years.
