Was I wrong about the average speed? That was done by simple maths, relating the estimated distance and time. If not, then to achieve the high average, the top speeds must have been pretty high I would have thought.
Anyway, we're a bit off topic anyway, as the question was really about stability at higher speeds. Can you ask your friend what mods and I'm guessing he has some, were done to the chassis/running gear? If not, then he's very brave I reckon! He can set up my car so it doesn't frighten me....
