What no comments on the Camshaft with attitude page! (can I remind Austineers to use the 'What's New' link below! It is updated to reflect site additions) Some Seven expert must have seen one of these camshafts before...... I know it was used in the Australian Comet in 1959 but taken out after a camshaft gear tooth was stripped. Apparently it would not idle much under 2,000 when it was installed! The other odd thing is the bigger diameter shaft at the camshaft gear end. I still have the gear set, the camshaft gear looks like it was made with a bigger hole to suit and not just bored out accordingly. The camshaft front bush also looks different? Did works cars use camshafts and gear sets like this??

Cheers

Bruce
