Bruce - re the drawings of cam profiles to which you refer, the blown Ulster is understandably milder than the unblown, so we'll disregard that. Next compare 9E77 (Speedy etc) with 9E2 (Ulster unblown) - the measurements (.375) are supposed to be the same, whereas the drawing shows an obviously higher profile on the 9E2 - I believe the measurement shown for the latter is an error -(from memory I queried this on your site some time ago?). I traced around my 9E2 lobe some time ago, more to get the profile rather than measure the height, but as my sketch says a little over, .390 would be the correct height in the flesh. I didn't trace around my Speedy lobe but recall it was smaller than the Ulster. As regards gears, can't recall any difficulty - must have had the right ones with the shafts from the start. I do remember the Speedy gears were machined steel, not cast as the standard ones are. Cheers again, Bill
