Not sure I mentioned 100bhp/litre from a sidevalve A7 precisely. I think they were referring me to the Reliant incarnations, however, I reckon the Fitzmaurice car does produce near the quoted figures - Micheal has said it "grenades" on occasions! But, not many engines are actually capable of easily producing way over three times their design power.
Not sure if that's because the early engines were simply very conservative in their tuning or that we overstress them when we tune them - actually its a bit of both I think.
