I have very good friends in Sweden who are meticulously restoring a 1936 WOC (Ruby). Like my '36 UK tourer, their's is a 2 bearing engine, but I guess your's will be a 3 bearing. The WOC has a unique brake pedal system, however, as it is LHD you would be forgiven for thinking it was mirrored in the engine parts like the US cars, but not so. It also has a unique steering box - so don't break it or you will probably never find another!

The WOC's were built in Birmingham as far as I can establish, alongside the RHD cars, certainly in the earlier models, but were badged WOC in Berlin. The numbers of the Swedish car are only 15 from mine. They are NOT conversions of RHD cars - the floorpan is unique and has the little wooden cover for the brake adjustment set near the transmission tunnel on the "wrong" side, rather than near the running board for the RHD cars.

Engine parts should be the same as any English car and everything is available.

In terms of value (novelty value perhaps), they are probably worth more than a normal Ruby and they can range from < £500 for a basket case to ~£4000 for a concourse car.

Barry.
