Hello H.W. very interesting about your chassis, I have a 1930 bare chassis 111717 it has no extra holes where such a fitting would go,both my 28 Chummy and 29 Saloon have gearbox mounted ratchets, also I have 7 spare gearboxes the oldest is a 24 (non speedo drive) they all have the growouts on them, however as I said before the 1930 has an unrolled one, but it is still there right up to and past the coupled brake date, All of my Parts Lists from 26 to 30 list the spigot that goes into the gearbox to fit the ratchet onto. All of your gearboxes must be mid 30 to late 31 to not having the growouts. Regards Ian
