Dennis - your choice I think, but others may have theories. In past I've drilled access hole (don't forget angled wedge-piece under nut), but fitted longer engine bolts right through (contrary?). Tighten up 3 of the 4 bolts only (I always leave loose the one under the mag. mount where it's not easily seen), this allows for flexing of the crankcase against the steel block. (You'll be amazed how much less your donk will leak oil if you do this). Cheers, Bill
