I too have a chassis with minor problems in the area you describe. It is late 28/29, but very tidily repaired. Re painting blind areas - Epiglass produce a product called PA10 that is designed for welding through. It was developed in the 50's for steel skeletal skyscrapers. A very widely used product in NZ for resto work, it has many advantages, but is still best overcoated with a top coat finish, like ALL primers. Cheers Kiwi in Oz
