OK, I have a raw set of pillars cast in brass that have a handed section at the bottom, but the other set (kinky ones) do not. The brass ones have a solid rod for the screen tube but the rod is a bit short to reach the clamping hole. I was reluctant to use them as brass is so dam difficult to work with to a good finish! These were manufactured for Kevin Gilbert from his design. It sounds like he got it right!

I would still like a positive verification on the scuttle angle at the point of the pillar mounting though!

With regard to the hole, what I actually said was "There appears to be only one hole SET in the body and frame timber". ie, there are two holes, each side (set), not four which would indicate a re-location of the pillars. (there is an extra set of three lower windscreen stud holes about an inch further forward than the original though!).

I will send you a digi picture or two directly Bill, as I have some queries on the way the body is put together as well.

Cheers,

DG
