First , can anyone help --I have a 1927 pinion shaft with a broken tooth. Is it possible to fix or can anyone spare an intact one. Second ,One the subject of Shafts--Most people are unaware of the difference in length of the early prop shaft. The early ones with fabric coupling and carden block up to 1928? with belt drive Speedo were 20& thee eighths long. The later ones up to long chassis were 20 inches. I have come across so many people with the early shaft fitted with a g/box Speedo drive and cannot understand that something is too long.
