Like u my original dashboard was a one colour -mid brown with the car body "mid grey" I have now had it wood grained luckily by someone who knows . If memory serves me right a article in the "Cornwell Austin 7 site gives details on how to do the wood graining -www.austin7.org I also found that the interior window surrounds of the 36 Ruby were also wood grained.
