Thanks for the comments Barry. The ADRs are available on CD for $Oz24. Yes, I appreciate the weight/mass problem of batteries motor and strengthened chassis etc, that is part of the justification of building rather than using the original chassis. It is after all the CONCEPT of the wee beauty that I am after. There will be a lot of high(er) tech underneath!
OK on the rear axel comments too. I am happy(ish) to use something later & non Austin, but everything else appears to be the "banjo" style. I do like the look of the original and may copy its shape with a more modern CW & P inside - nothing is impossible! :-)
OK on the replica bodies etc and the price. I guess these are metal copies and very original. I may have to construct my own as I need a lot of stuff that is not in the originals such as side intrusion bars , seat belt (and child restraint!) anchor points etc. It should be heaps of fun! A fibre glass shell, guards and running boards (or moulds) in Australia would be of great interest!
Step one is building a lock up garage onto my workshop. Step two is dimensions and design before the fun starts.
Cheers, DG
