I have added the only detailed factory drawing that I have in my collection to the site....
It's in the Mechanical Drawing Section under Late Sports Chassis Drawing.
The drawing is of a 1933 sports chassis - 6' 9". Most of it is readable the original is not in very good condition. The file sizes are large for modem users as they are Jpeg images. To help, I have put them up as 3 separate files. Please save these files to your hard drive - size and print them from your favourite drawing or imaging program. Would users of this site be happier with PDF files in the future?
If any kind person has a factory drawing of the actual 6' 3" chassis, I would like to add it as well!
Hope this helps....
Bruce
PS re the ADR stuff:
The Bulletin in South Australia that defines "One-Off New Construction Passenger Vehicles" is No. 18A. The covering letter asked me to comply with 69 ADR regulations! Some of the more interesting are:
- Full Frontal Impact Occupant Protection
- Mechanical Connections Between Vehicles
- Side Door Strength (interesting as the Meteor plans submitted had no doors!)
- Head restraints
- Demisting of Windscreen
plus many more.....
At this point, after many telephone calls, I stopped arguing an built it as a period car with period running gear.
But Good luck, maybe the ACT is easier.
