I have heard the same from another source here in Adelaide - can you find out any more details? I understand the concern but the crankcase I am working on has a lot of "meat" around the jet area. I would not consider using the pin drift a remote problem. I should mention the crankcase is actual a Reliant design (one I bought from Greg Stevens for the Special project) so an Austin Seven crankcase could be much weaker in this area.
