You need to be a bit careful here. Mini carburettors are semi-downdraught, and will not fit well onto a Ruby manifold. You really need a horizontal carb, as fitted to Morris 8s early minors (I think) and the like. They are not hard to find. On the subject of jets, all SU jets are bases on a few basic needles numbered (for our purposes) 1 to 6. All variations on this are slight changes in profile to suit individual engine's characteristics. A GG, B2, MOV or whatever will work on an Austin but it wasnt designed to do so. I find all of my engines have rum on a needle in the range 3 to 5 fitted with a blue dashpot spring.
