Yes Courtenay, it is definitely Australian. It is another one of William (Bill) Conoulty’s Sevens. This one was know as the Musso and the photograph was taken at a hill climb somewhere outside Sydney in the mid 1930’s. This car was very successful in events held by the Light Car Club of NSW. I have a number of photographs and award documents for the car and a bit of its history thanks to Bill Conoulty Jnr. If you’re interested, there will be an article in Automobile Quarterly (I believe in the 3rd quarter edition, 2002) on the Conoulty cars (the Comet and the Musso). An Australian writer wrote the article last year. It was interesting to discover a bit more of the history around these Conoulty Australian Sevens.
