Yep, that's correct. Here in Qld we also have the option of full or concessional rego. The vehicle can be used as it was when it was new, eg no flashers, no wipers, no brake lights etc.

On the concessional rego we can attend any event held by a "properly constituted car club" throughout Australia, without having to report or ask anyone. The cost is from memory about $117, with fully comprehensive insurance at about $100 a year.

There are lots of differing opinions on the benefits and advantages of leaving it as was, or "upgrading". More driveable or original. Call it what you like, it is strictly a matter of what you prefer. Personally I drive a Chummy with no indicators, a single 30mm brake and tail light, a hand operated, or more to the point no wiper, and no seatbelts.

There are those of us who use this forum who would be most concerned by this, and those of us who agree.

Strictly a matter of choice, fool hardness and I suppose bravery.
