Greg, Good on ya, as I think you say out there!

Lots of people here in the UK do actually drive their A7s every day and would be horrified at the 90 trip/day rule. In reality, many people, such as myself do less than this in a year anyway and the Club Rules would have no detriment. It's just the compulsion aspect we all abhorr. Fortunately, the previous government saw fit to abolish road tax for initially, over 25 year-old cars, then have a cut-off date of 1971/2 as too many were escaping the tax net. "Old", pre-1949 I think, cars, were already half price tax and the "free" tax came as a pleasant surprise to us all. So far there have been no "Club Rule" repercussions on limited use and long may this continue. It is illegal (and silly, really, in our heavy traffic) to persist in the single rear light syndrome now and remains one of the only retrospective bits of legislation, otherwise, as-built will do.
